Many people say a picture is worth a thousand words. She loves being in front of the camera and on the runway by telling stories through fashion. She has participated in United States and International Fashion Shows and Photoshoots. In addition to seeking to do her best academically and on the runway, she enjoys the extracurricular art of dance and takes pride in giving back to her community. Kayla has been dancing for fourteen years, since age five. Dance is a way that she can be creative, entertain others and make people smile. Throughout her dance journey, she has learned technique, skills, and choreography in: Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Pointe, Hip Hop, and Tahitian. Kayla has shared her dance talent on many occasions by performing at community events, fashion shows, fundraisers, churches, galas, and benefits. Kayla trained and danced with the New Hope Youth Dance Company for ten years from 2008 to 2018, under the direction of Mrs. Concha Marchitelli. She continued to train and dance with the K. Nicole Dance Company for three years from 2018 to 2021 under the direction of Mrs. Kristen Jones. Today she continues her amazing dance talent as a free-lance performer.

She is selfless and learned early that life goes beyond her. She also learned that character begins with the heart, the ability to empathize with others and share compassion for others. She fosters a great sense of pride in giving back, which makes her more about the cause than receiving applause.
